Professional Development Meeting - Joint meeting with ISM

Topic - Getting Results without Drama

Speaker - Pam Boyd, International Consultant and Speaker

This is a high-energy, honest, funny, and interactive workshop that provides practical guidance for 1) leveraging behavioral change with difficult people, 2) setting contingencies that will eliminate surprises and indigestion when agreements fall apart, or progress disappoints, 3) removing “chips” off people’s shoulders,4) better communication, teamwork, and delegation, and 5) getting full engagement with bosses, coworkers, and employees. This presentation benefits managers and employees, providing easy-to use tools that can be quickly implemented and passed on to the leaders we are developing for the future.

Pam Boyd speaks from hard-earned experience, after spending twenty years in management, and having been a well-seasoned, back-stabbing, corporate-hating, finger-pointing, excuse-making, and pathologically negative middle manager before she turned her career around. Now, she helps people eliminate the pain of working with these issues world-wide.

Pam ended her management career as a Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Sonny Bryan’s Barbeque.  In 1998, she launched Dramatic Conclusions, a consulting firm providing leadership and management support. She has worked with clients in all 50 states, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, the Virgin Islands, and Europe, and has written four books, The Essential Handbook for First-Time Managers, The Two-Minute Tune-Up, The Miracle I Almost Missed and her most recent release, Rescripting the Workplace: Producing Miracles with Bosses, Coworkers, and Bad Days. She is also the author of three screenplays, webinars, numerous articles, and an inspirational daily blog, The Two-Minute Tune-up.
