Healthcare always seems to be a hot topic, but rarely do people actually talk about the supply chain necessary to meet our healthcare needs.

Join us on May 2, 2019 as Pamela Wiseman, VP of Materials and Supply Chain Operations at Baylor Scott and White Health presents on the topic of Leadership and Transformation in Healthcare Supply Chain.

Pamela Wiseman is the Vice President of Materials and Supply Chain Operations for Baylor Scott & White. In this role, Pam is responsible for the Supply Chain Systems,Technology, Communications, Customer Service, Data and Hospital Supply Chain Operations for the BSW Health System.  Prior to joining BSWH, Pam was the Executive Leader of Global Materials for GE Transportation. In this role she was responsible for all materials functions around the world within the Global Supply Chain of GE Transportation.  Prior to joining the leadership team at GE, Pam was Senior Director of Supply Chain Planning for the Covidien Group of Medtronic plc.  In this role, Pam led the development of supply chain and inventory strategies to optimize inventory levels and materials management across the network of Global manufacturing facilities and Distribution centers.  Pam moved to Texas from the Northeastern US specifically to join the team at BSWH and to   apply her skills and experience to the mission of transforming heathcare supply chain.

Pamela has more than 20 years of experience in Supply Chain/Operations in Aerospace, Electronics, Industrial Automation and Medical Devices.  Earlier in her career, Pamela was Director of Supply Chain at Gerber Scientific, responsible for Production & Aftermarket Distribution Planning, Strategic Sourcing, and Procurement for the Capital Equipment Manufacturer. Pamela has also held roles as Vice President of Global Operations for high-tech electronics manufacturer LeCroy Corporation and as Executive Director of Global Raw Materials at United Technologies.  At LeCroy, she overhauled the supply chain and manufacturing operations, started up outsourced production with partners in the US and Asia and lead the integration of several acquisitions.  Prior to that, she held manufacturing and supply chain leadership positions in Operations and Field Service at Universal Instruments, and R&D positions at the MITRE Corporation and AT&T Bell Laboratories. She started her career in operations in the United Technologies’ Management Rotational Training Program at Sikorsky Aircraft.

Pamela is APICS CPIM certified and received a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Physics/Mathematics from Brown University, pursued graduate studies in Geophysics at Texas A&M University, earned an MSEE from the University of Rhode Island, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Pam is a strong supporter of STEM activities.  In 2015, Pam was one of 100 Women in Manufacturing to receive a STEP Award from the national Association of Manufacturers. She was a member of the Board of Directors of Connecticut Girl Scouts. In 2018, Pam defined and initiated the Baylor Scott & White STEM presence/booth at the Dallas ISD STEM Conference She has also been a guest lecturer at Baylor University’s Supply Chain Management course and an invited speaker in several strategy and supply chain conferences.
